Mrs. Nettie M. Beam, 91, of Ligonier R. D. 2, died Saturday morning in Latrobe
Area Hospital. She was born June 26, 1881 in Somerset County, the daughter of
the late Joseph and Elizabeth Brooks Daniels. She was a member of the Waterford
First Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William
Beam, in 1956. She is survived by eight sons and three daughters: Harry of
Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Harry (Matilda) Henry of Stoystown R. D. 1, Lloyd of Boswell
R. D. 4, Stanley of Phoenix, Ariz., Clyde of Scottsdale, Ariz., Charles of
Ligonier R. D. 2, Mrs. Donald (Bessie) Warren of Downey, Calif., Roy of Ligonier
R. D. 3, Mrs. Dorothy Tayler of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jack of Woodstock, Ill. and
William of Sunland, Calif. Fifty-five grandchildren, 115 great-grandchildren and
17 great-great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the
Gordon O. Snyder Funeral Home, Ligonier, 9 a.m to 9 m. beginning at noon Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at the Waterford First Church of the Brethren 2
p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. A. Lester Bucher officiating. The body will lie in
state from noon until time for services. Interment will be in the Menoher
Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be given to the
Nettie Beam Memorial Fund, First Church of the Brethren, Ligonier R. D. 3.
