Mrs. Mary Thompson Bowen, 89, of New Castle, Pa., (formerly of Latrobe) died
Sunday, Feb. 6, 1983. She was born in Eddystone, Pa., Dec. 11, 1893, a daughter
of the late John and Alice Kelly Thompson. A member of the Church of God of
Latrobe and Golden Age Club of Latrobe, she was preceded in death by her
husband, Ara Parker Bowen, in 1942 and one son, Donald Bowen. She is survived by
three sons, Carl, Fred and Philip, all of New Castle; three daughters, Mrs.
Emory (Helen) Breeding of Greenwood, Del., Mrs. Joseph (Marie) Neigoot of
Latrobe (with whom she formerly made her home) and Mrs. Earl (Doris) Clark of
New Castle, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in McKnatt Funeral Home, 50
Commerce St., Harrington, Del. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday
in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
