(Pittsburgh, Pa.) 1860-1898: March 4, 1863 Died at his residence, near Mt. Pleasant, Pa., on February 8th, of congestion of the lungs, Col. Edward Braden, in the 64th year of his age. Mr. B. was a native of Westmoreland County, and with the exception of a few years in Fayette County, spent his life in it. He was twice married; first, in 1826, to Miss Lydia W., daughter of James Hurst, Esq., who died in 1835; and about ten years since, to Mrs. M. Niccols, who still survives him. In early life he became a member of the Unity Presbyterian church. Mr. B. was an affectionate husband, a kind father to the orphaned children who came-under his care, and a faithful friend...
