Ronald M. Brant, 58, of 2414 Raymond Ave., Latrobe, died Sunday, April 24, 1983 at his home. He was born August 23, 1924, in Latrobe, the son of the late H. Milton and Margaret Ziegenfus Brant. A graduate of Thiel College and the Gettysburg Theological Seminary, he served parishes in Jefferson, Stoutsville, Mansfield and Bridgeport, Ohio. He served on the Synodical Christian Education Committee of the Ohio Synod, the Lutheran Church in America and on the committee of the Lutheran Magazine. He was the synodical representative of the education committee of the Ohio Council of Churches and was a past president of the board of Big Brothers of Belmont County, Ohio. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, the International Biographical Association, the International Platform Association, the Biblical Archeological Society and the IOOF 541, Latrobe. He was selected for Who's Who in The Midwest, Men of Achievement and won the Community Leader of the Year Award in 1969. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. John ( Harriet) Smith of Latrobe and Mrs. Paul (Gladys) Cramer of Ligonier. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in M. S. Hartman Funeral Home, Latrobe. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Donald McCoid officiating. Interment will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Youngstown. Odd Fellows will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
