Katherine L. "Baba" Buncie, 91, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in
Mountainview Specialty Care Center. She was born June 6, 1915, in Whitney, Pa.,
daughter of the late Theodore and Anna (Pasieka) Leachman. She was a member of
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. Katherine was the
last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was preceded
in death by a son, Joseph Buncie, in 2004, and five brothers, Paul, Stephen, Joseph,
Michael and Mickey Leachman. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Jan Buncie, of
Moon Township; four grandchildren, Michael Buncie and wife Lynda, of Richmond, Va.,
Rebecca Cugliari and husband Greg, of Neshanic Station, N.J., Vikki Gilmore and
husband Robb, of Moon Township, and Cassandra Buncie, of Moon Township; five
great-great grandchildren, Eric, Joseph, Alissa, Amanda and Sarah, and a number of
nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. Family and friends are
invited to attend the Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. Friday in Assumption of the Blessed
Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. Everyone please go directly to the church.
Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements handled by the JOHN J. LOPATICH
FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe
