Latrobe Advance Wed, Jun 02, 1886
Saturday evening last, William Burd, a well known and respected farmer living on
the St. Clair road, near Kingston station, fell over dead at his home,
presumably from heart disease. Saturday morning, Mr. Burd went to Ligonier on
the Ligonier Valley train, being in apparently the best of health. He ate his
dinner in Ligonier and shortly thereafter complained of a pain in his stomach.
He obtained some medicine for it but was not much relieved. Having transacted
his business he started for home on the 5 o'clock train and suddenly expired
fifteen minutes after reaching his residence. His funeral took pace on Monday
morning, the body being interred in Unity cemetery.
