Word was received this morning, that Mrs. David Burgoon, a resident of
Youngstown, Pa., until a few weeks ago, died at the home of her son, Edward J.
Burgoon, of Youngstown, O., with whom she was making a visit. Mrs. Burgoon, who
was 88 years of age, had been in poor health for some time. A few weeks ago,
Mrs. Burgoon, together with her husband, went to Youngstown, O., to visit with
their son and his family and while there she was stricken with a cerebral
hemorrhage which caused a paralysis that resulted in her death. Mr. and Mrs.
Burgoon were residents of Peach Hollow, a few miles east of Derry, for about 40
years. Eight years ago they moved to Youngstown, Pa., where they have been
residing ever since. Mr. Burgoon is also confined to his bed at his son's home,
suffering with a paralyzed hip and illness resulting from old age. He is in his
90th year. Surviving Mrs. Burgoon are her husband, one son, Edward J., and two
grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock, with a
requiem high mass being said over the remains at the Catholic church in
Youngstown, O. Interment will be made in the Youngstown Cemetery.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. David Burgoon, who died in Youngstown, O.,
following a stroke, were held in Youngstown, O., yesterday morning. The
deceased, who had moved from Youngstown, Pa., but two weeks ago was a sister of
Mrs. Mattie Johns of Main street. Another sister, Mrs Susan Shaw, of Millwood,
and a brother, Martin Williams, of Millwood, together with four great-
grandchildren and one great great-grandchild also survive in addition to her
husband, one son and two grandchildren.
