Mrs. Agnes C. Burkhart, 82, of Latrobe died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, in Latrobe
Area Hospital. Born Aug. 30, 1918, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late
George and Catherine (Bosslet) Mitchell. Agnes had attended the Church of the
Open Door, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Arthur C. Burkhart, June 22, 1992; her son, Byron Burkhart; five
brothers, Charles, Paul, James, George and Robert Mitchell, and seven sisters,
Mary Grace Mills, Helen Miller, Blanch Smithley, Hilda Mitchell, Edna Mitchell,
Mary Edmundson and Martha Mitchell. Surviving are two daughters, Elaine Holzer
(and her husband, Robert) and Sandra Myers (and her husband, Timothy), all of
Latrobe; a brother, Raymond Mitchell (and his wife, Ann) of Youngstown; five
grandchildren: Roxanne White (and her husband, Marty), Brian Holzer (and his
wife, April), Terry Myers (and his wife, Stacy), Randy Myers (and his wife,
Jennifer) and Debbie Myers; a great-granddaughter, Kiley Raine Myers, and
numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3
to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon
St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home
with the Rev. Joseph P. Billingsley officiating. Interment will be in Unity
Cemetery, Unity Township.
