Butalla died at his home in Hostetter at 7:30 o'clock Saturday evening at the age of 45 years. Mr. Butalla, was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Local 7744, the first Catholic Slovak Union Branch 181, United, and the Greek Catholic Union and the L. O. O. M. of Latrobe. Surviving are his widow, Mr. Veronica Ungvarsky Butalla, and the following sons and daughters: Anthony, John Jr., Marcelene, Robert and Leonard, all at home. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Michael, of West Virginia; Andrew, of Detroit; Paul, with the U. S. Marine corps; Stephen, of Loyalhanna; and Anna, of Detroit, Michigan. Friends will be received at his late home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Vincent with Fr. Egbert officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Vincent cemetery.
