Mrs. Ida E. Ferry Butcher, 51, of 513 Pratt St., Fredericksburg, Va., died
Monday, Nov. 1, 1993, at her home. She was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Latrobe, a
daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Alice (Shearer) Ferry. In addition to her
parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Forrest Stone Jr., in 1973;
her brother, John J. Ferry, in 1988, and a sister, Alice Mae Struble, in 1978.
Surviving are her husband, David Butcher; three daughters, Deborah, Mary Ida and
Mildred; two sons, Ronald Charles and Robbie; five grandchildren, all of
Fredericksburg; three sisters, Anna Hoke Long of New Alexandria, Nancy Kowinsky
of Derry, and Patricia Burke of New Stanton; three brothers, Allen Ferry of
Ligonier, Ronald Ferry of Rinersburg, and O. Charles Ferry of Manassas Park,
Va., and an aunt, Ida Ferry Bodner of Latrobe. Friends will be received from 3
to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Vincents Funeral Home, Jane Lew, W.
Va., where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will
follow in Berlin, W.Va.
