Third St., Derry, died in the Latrobe Hospital at 4:40 a. m. today of a heart condition. Born in Millwood April 26, 1878, he was 77 years of age, the son of the late Martin and Frances Carns Campbell. He had retired November 19, 1948, as a P. R. R. freight conductor, completing 51 years of service. Surviving are the following children: Marseilles E. and Mrs. Clarence (Blanch) Plummer, both of Derry; Mrs. William (Olive) Malego, Duquesne; Donald and Dale, both of Cleveland; Margery, at home; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister and two brothers: Mrs. M. E. (Fannie) Adams, Newell. W. Va.; Emmett G. Campbell, Santa Ana. Calif.; Harry A. Campbell, Wilkinsburg. Mr. Campbell was a member of the Derry Methodist Church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Order of Railroad Conductors. Friends will be received at the Fisher Funeral Home, Derry, until Tuesday when funeral services will be held there at 2:30 p. m. in charge of his pastor, the Rev. J. C. Cox. Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery.
