George Campbell, ex-Commissioner, is dead and buried. He was interred at Pleasant
Grove cemetery. The funeral was largely attended. The deceased will be badly missed
in the community of which he was so long a prominent member. He was a teacher of
vocal music and the leader of the Presbyterian choir at Pleasant Grove for many
years. He sleeps beside his first wife, who preceded him to the tomb nearly half a
century ago. One by one our old citizens are passing over. It is only a question of
time.
