Latrobe Bulletin Mon, Sep 14, 1992 
John H. F. Carns, 87, of Latrobe died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1992, in Latrobe Area
Hospital. He was born Aug. 22, 1905, in Laughlintown, a son of the late J.W.G.
and Edith Buell Carns. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed
carpenter. He was a member of the Laughlintown Christian Church. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, L. Maude Brougher Carns; two
daughters, Donna Hammond and Edith Irene Carns; three brothers, T. R. Carns,
Clyde Carns and Harry M. Carns, and three half brothers, William Carns, Russell
Carrs and Charles Penrod. He Is survived by two sons, Wayne P. of Champaign,
Ill., and Robert J. of Westminster, Md.; a daughter, June Nichols of Latrobe,
with whom he resided; a brother, Albert Carns of Ross Mountain Park; four
granddaughters; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters, and a great-grandson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hartman-Graziano
Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Service will be held at 1 p.m.
Tuesday In Laughlintown Christian Church with the Rev. George Umpheltt Jr.
officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown.
