Latrobe Bulletin  Mon, Apr 29, 1946
Mrs. Bertha Harriet Carns, aged 77 years and three months, died at her home
along the Menoher Highway near Oak Grove, at 9:16 p. m., yesterday. She is
survived by her husband, Frank, and the following children: Lemon, Lloyd,
George, William, Fred, Earl and Pealer Carns, all of Ligonier Township; Mrs.
Edward Tosh, of Ligonier Township; Mrs. George Barron, of Somerset, and Mrs.
Charles Baylor, of Shippensburg. One sister, Mrs. Molly Kinsey, of Ligonier
Twp.; 37 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive. She was a member
of the First Presbyterian church, Ligonier. Funeral services will be held
Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. from the late residence in charge of the Rev. R. A.
Nelson, and interment will be made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
