Mrs. Helen M. Carns, 77, of Ligonier RD 5, died Monday, April 2, 1984, in
Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 22, 1906, in East Liverpool, Ohio,
she was a daughter of the late Sidney and Frances Parrish Thomas. A member of
Waterford United Methodist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Earl D. Carns, in 1977, and two brothers, Sidney and Carl Thomas. Surviving are
one daughter, Frances L. Miller of Shoemakersville, Pa.; three grandchildren,
and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday
and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Wolford -McCracken Funeral Home Inc., 144
E. Main St., Ligonier. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel
at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Private interment will be held in Menoher Memorial
Cemetery, Waterford.
