She was born July 4, 1900, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Alfred E. and Minnie Osterwise Taylor. She was a former member of the Church of the Brethren of Greensburg, the Gold Star Mothers, American Legion Auxiliary to Thomas B. Anderson Post 515, and the Ligonier Country Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Steward Casteel, in 1955; two sons, Harry A. Casteel, who was killed in World War II, and William S. Casteel Jr.; a daughter, Betty Jean Huston; two sisters, Henriella Pyle and Florence Smith, and a brother, Alfred Taylor. She is survived by her son-in-law, Jay Huston of Greenville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis Taylor of Greensburg, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. William Waugh officiating. Interment will follow In St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
