Latrobe Bulletin Tue, Sep 05, 1995 
Steve "Bud" Cherup, 86, of Latrobe died Sunday, Sept. 3, 1995, at his home. Born
Jan. 8, 1909, In Lloydsville, he was a son of the late Matthew M. Cherup and
Stacie Pindris Cherup. Before retiring in 1971, he was a machinist at Kennametal
Inc. with 31 years of service. He was a member of Old Crabtree Sportsmen's
Association, Frontier Club and Lloydsville Sportsman's Association. Besides his
parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ballash Cherup; three
brothers, Joseph, John and William, and a sister, Rose Williams. Surviving are
three daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Shirley) Dominick and Mrs. Philip (Janet)
Prlstas, both of Latrobe, and Mrs. John (Stepheny) McBryer of Utica; a sister,
Mary Zavalaris of Salinas, Calif.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren,
and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday
in Dell-Frederick Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral Liturgy
will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Lukac as
celebrant. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
