Mrs. Mary Chestnut, the esteemed wife of Jonas Chestnut, of Harding Street, died
at noon today, as the result of a stroke which overtook her several days ago.

Funeral Services were held this afternoon at the family residence, for Mrs. Mary
Chestnut, the esteemed wife of Jonas Chestnut, of Harding street whose death
occurred at noon on Saturday, following a prolonged illness, due to a stroke.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Sawyer, assisted by the Rev. R. C. Wolf.
Members of the Americus Lodge acted as pallbearers. The interment was made at
Unity. Mrs. Chestnut was aged 69 years, eight months and 19 days, and is
survived by her husband and a family of children.
