Latrobe Bulletin Mon, Apr 20, 1953
Russell George Conrad, 67, 153 East Owens Ave., Derry, died of complications at
5:50 pm Sunday in the Latrobe Hospital. Born is Newry, Blair county, Dec. 10,
1895, son of the late Charles and Laura Andrews Conrad, he had been employed at
the Walter Kloock Service Station in Latrobe. Previous to that be had been
employed by the Chestnut Ridge Transportation Co. for 20 years as a bus driver.
A member of St. Joseph's Parish, Derry, Mr. Conrad is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Cecilia Murray Conrad, and the following children: Russell Jr., Derry; James,
Youngstown, and Miss Jean, Ronald and Richard, all at home. Also surviving are
three grandchildren; a brother, Paul, Holidaysburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen
Maddocks, Baltimore, Mr. and Mrs. Genevieve Baker, Charleroi. Friends will be
received at the Fisher Funeral Home, Derry. Funeral services with a requiem high
mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 9 am Wednesday, followed by
interment in the church cemetery.
