Cook, 75, of Laughlintown died Tuesday, May 29, 1990, in the Edinboro Manor, Edinboro, Pa. He was born Aug. 14, 1914, in Ligonier, a son of the late Franklin and Margaret Magee Cook. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a foreman for Westinghouse Corp. of Derry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, and was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church of Ligonier, the Ligonier VFW Post 734 and the Ligonier Valley Historical Society. He also was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Margaret Foster Cook, and two brothers, Wayne and Glenn. Surviving are two sons, James F. of Guys Mills, Pa., and Thomas F. of Lexington, Mass. There will be no public visitation. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Heritage United Methodist Church, Ligonier, with the Rev. Samuel Allaman officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown. Memorials may be made to Heritage United Methodist Church or the Ligonier Valley Historical Society.
