Latrobe Bulletin Wed, Aug 22, 1917
John Covode Cook, a resident of Derry for a number of years but who lately has
been working at Burgettstown, died Friday morning, August 10, 1917, at
Burgettstown after an illness of two or three days. He was aged 57 years, 5
months and 17 days. Besides his widow the following children survive: William
E., Ira D., Sarah, Amanda and Mary, all of Derry. He is also survived by the
following brothers and sisters: David Cook, of Ligonier: Mrs. J. P. Campbell, of
Ligonier; Mrs. Annie Rogers and Mrs. E. E. Kegs, of Seward: Mrs. R. L. Durham
and Mrs. James Stonecipher, of Latrobe. The remains were taken to Derry for
interment.
