Cox, 59, of Latrobe RD 4 died Friday, May 25, 1984, in Westmoreland Hospital. Born June 4, 1924, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Samuel D. and Amelia Wallbaum Cox. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church; employee of Latrobe Steel Co., and veteran of World War II, having served with U.S. Army. One sister, Annabelle Irwin, preceded him in death Dec. 16, 1981. He is survived by his wife, Lois Ashcom Cox; one son, Richard Charles of Greensburg; two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Bonita) Knott of Bradenville and Mrs. Allan (Amelia) Kuhns of Mount Pleasant; five grandchildren; three brothers, James and Samuel, both of Latrobe, and William of New Derry, and three sisters, Mrs. Michael (Florence) Keba and Mrs. Arthur (Betty) Spellman Braden, both of Latrobe, and Mrs. Joseph (Janet) Derek of Garland, Texas. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe. - Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. J.L. Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
