Lois Minerva (Ashcom) Cox, 85, of Bradenville, passed away Saturday, February 18,
2017 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Born June 20, 1931 in Johnstown, she
was a daughter of the late George R. Ashcom and Florence (Wilhelm) Ashcom.
Lois was a member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry G. Cox,
and two brothers, George and Robert Ashcom. Lois is survived by two daughters,
Bonnie Knott, and her husband Stephen, and Patty Kuhns; three grandchildren, and
nine great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Monday at the John J.
Lopatich Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A funeral service will be
held at 10 AM Tuesday in the funeral home with Vicar Eric Damon officiating.
Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Cook Township.
