John C. Darr, 73, Stahlstown RD 1, died 5 p.m. Saturday, in Westmoreland Hospital,
Greensburg. Born April 27, 1891, in Cook township, son of late Solomon and Clara
Campbell Darr. Member of Trinity Methodist Church; charter member of Chestnut Ridge
Lions Club, Stahlstown. Survived by widow Jesse Hauger Darr; three daughters, Mrs.
Glenn ( Irene) Stahl, Acme RD 1; Mrs Viola Bowman, Stahlstown, RD 1, and Mrs. Roy
(Alberta) Bils, Ligonier RD 1, and son Leroy of Wilpen; 12 grandchildren. Brother
Ira, Stahlstown; sisters, Mrs. Luther Stough, Enola, Pa., Miss Anna Darr,
Pittsburgh, Mrs. Marie Hall Laughlintown. Friends received 3 to 5 and 7 to 10, L.
Boyd Snyder Funeral Home. Services there 2 pm Tuesday, the Rev. Ray A. Snair,
Interment Stahlstown Cemetery.
