Mrs. Anna DeMarino, 78, of Greensburg died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, in
Westmoreland Regional Hospital. She was born in Latrobe, the daughter of the
late Michael and Anna (Maty) Zavada. She left her sincere thanks to the members
of the Our Lady of Grace Parish, Hempfield Township, who kindly helped her to
continue her worship in God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by four brothers, Michael, John, George and Andy Zavada, and a sister,
Mary Konlesky. Surviving is her beloved husband of 50 years, Sandy DeMarino.
Anna will leave an endearing memory to her family, for her love of sewing. Also
surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Timothy (Pat)
Whitford of Greensburg and Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) Van Ormer of
Eaglevilla; a son and his wife, Drs. David (Georgine) DeMarino of Pittsburgh,
and two sisters, Sue Yackulak of Greensburg and Julie Underdorfer of Latrobe.
Her strong will and everlasting love to her six grandchildren, Shad, Joshua,
Lara, Katie, Dana and Nicholas, and several nieces and nephews. The family
received relatives and friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Clement L
Pantalone Funeral Home, 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Grace Church, Hempfield Township.
Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery near Greensburg. Natale N.
Pantalone, funeral director. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation, 1011
Old Salem Road, Greens-burg, PA 15601.
