Latrobe Bulletin Fri, Aug 25, 1978
Wade C. Eicher, 80, of Latrobe RD 3 (Trauger) died Thursday morning in Latrobe
Area Hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1897, in Cook Township, a son of the late
Jacob and Mary Prinkey Eicher. He was a member of Trauger Volunteer Fire
Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda Kuhns Eicher, May 29,
1965, and one son, Thomas, in 1970. He is survived by the following children:
Mrs. Ray (Martha) Wilson of Latrobe RD 3, Mrs. Clarence (June) Crosby of Mount
Pleasant RD 1, Mrs. Harry (Ella Mae) Barkley of Derry, James E. of Greensburg RD
7, and Mrs. Jack (Mary Jane) Tenney of Charleston, W. Va., Wayne R. of Columbus,
Ga., Raymond E. of Latrobe RD 3 and Mrs. Jerry (Virginia) Wood of Miamiville,
Ohio; 31 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and one brother, George, of
Melcroft. Friends will be received in James P. Gaut Funeral Home, Pleasant
Unity, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the
Rev. John H. Piper officiating. Interment will follow in Ligonier Valley
Cemetery.
