Mrs. Velma M. Elliott, 62, died Saturday afternoon at her home in New Alexandria
R.D.1. Born in Derry Twp., June 23, 1911, she was a daughter of the late John
and Carrie Forsha McChesney. She was a former teacher in the Derry Twp. School
District. Surviving are her husband, Cyrus Roy Elliott; three children: Mrs.
Charles (Carolyn) Burgh of Pittsburgh; Susan and John S., both at home; sister,
Mrs. Merle (Mary) Irwin, and a brother, Paul McChesney, both of Blairsville RD
3. Family will receive friends at the M. W. Felton Funeral Home, New Alexandria,
from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11
a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. R. Bruce Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow
in New Alexandria Cemetery.
