Geo. C. Anderson, died at the residence of the latter in West Latrobe, at the age of 87 years... She was born in Northumberland County, England, near the border line of Scotland. She married Thomas Anderson, and in 1820, emigrated to this country, located in Pittsburg. She was the mother of four children: William, George C., Thomas and Jno. R., two of whom survive her. In 1840, she was left a widow, and ten years later, married Daniel Fagan who died about eight years ago. She came to Latrobe in 1856... She was in England at the time and saw Napoleon the First when he came there seeking England's protection. Thomas Anderson, her husband, fought with Wellington at Waterloo, and her son Col. Geo. C. Anderson served with distinction during the entire war of the rebellion...
