Latrobe Bulletin Wed, May 07, 1930
John W. Ferry, aged 67 years, died at his home in Ligonier township, (near
Hillsview) last Saturday afternoon. Mr. Ferry was a farmer and had lived his
entire life time in Ligonier Valley. He was engaged in the lumber business for a
number of years but for the past fifteen years had given his entire attention to
farming. He is survived by his widow and three sons: Clarence, Robert and
Abraham. He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters: George H. Ferry,
Edward Ferry, Frank Ferry, Mrs. Emma Cole and Mrs. Etta Gardner. Funeral
services were held at the home on Tuesday afternoon. at 2 o'clock. Interment was
made in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
