Latrobe Bulletin Fri, Feb 15, 1980 
Mrs. Mary Alice Ferry, 62, of Derry RD 2, died Thursday morning in Latrobe Area
Hospital. She was born in Latrobe June 17, 1917, daughter of the late Frank and
Anna Bertha Achhammer Shearer. She is survived by her husband, Jacob J. Ferry;
children, Mrs. Robert (Anna) Long of Latrobe RD 7, Mrs. William (Nancy) Kowinsky
of Latrobe, Mrs. Patricia Burke of New Stanton, Pa., Mrs. David (Ida) Butcher of
Jane Lew, W. Va., John J. of Gillette, Pa., Allen of Marguerite, Oliver Charles
of Latrobe and Ronald of Greensburg; one brother, Edward Shearer Sr. of Latrobe;
21 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
one daughter, Alice Struble, in 1978. Family will receive friends in M. S.
Hartman Funeral Home, Latrobe, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Interment will
follow in Unity Cemetery.
