Samuel S. Forbes, aged 79 years, a retired farmer and a life-long resident of
Unity Twp., died at 4:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon, following a lingering
illness. Mr. Forbes was a son of the late William and Mary Lightcap Forbes. He
was member of the Zion's Lutheran church, Greensburg. He is survived by his
widow, Mrs. Anna Mary Forbes; three sons, John S., of Latrobe RD 2; William W.,
of Greensburg; Richard W., of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Jane Forbes
Kiser, of Bradenville; and seven grandchildren. The body is at the home of his
son, John, Latrobe RD 2. 
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home of
his son, John, Latrobe R. D. 2, for Samuel S. Forbes, whose death occurred on
Thursday. The Rev. Dr. J. Paul Harman will be in charge. Interment will be made
in Unity Comeetery.
