Forsha, 75, of Derry RD 3 died Saturday, Nov. 12, 1988, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1912, in Derry Township, a son of the late Philip Ford and Viola May Henderson Forsha. He was a lifetime farmer in Derry Township. He was affiliated with the Derry First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a medic in the U.S. Army. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn "Dutch" and Jim, and two sisters, Clara Locke and Minnie Kelly. He is survived by his wife, Louise M. Marts Forsha; two sons, Jeffrey of Blairsville RD 3 and Dale, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Sandra) Edmundson of Blairsville RD 3 and Mrs. Louis (Sally) Sedlacko of New Alexandria RD 3; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Wilford of Derry RD 1 and Mrs. Hazel Roman of Port Ritchie, Fla., and four grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Michael J. Quinlisk Funeral Home, 548 North Chestnut St., Derry. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Merritt H. Edner officiating. Interment will be in Coles Cemetery, Derry, with VFW Post 444 conducting military honors.
