Forsha, wife of Elmer E Forsha, section foreman for the P.R.R., died on the running board of their automobile, near Oak Grove, about 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Forsha had been ill for several months and had been unable to walk on account of a heart affection. She had expressed a desire to see the "Church in the Wilderness" in the Valley, and a trip was planned yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Forsha and Dr. and Mrs. Meredith and their daughter, Rosalle, started on the trip about noon yesterday. Mrs. Forsha complained of her heart when in front of Dr. Meredith's but rallied and the trip was continued. Near Oak Grove, Mrs. Forsha said: "There's something wrong" and declaring she could not get her breath, asked that the car be stopped. This was done and she was assisted from the car. She became so ill that she sat down on the running board of the car and died moments later, in Mrs. Meredith's arms. The sorrowing party returned to Derry with the remains. Mrs. Forsha was the daughter of Henry and Sarah Byers and was born in New Derry on August 27, 1866. On July 12, 1886, she was united in marriage to Elmer E. Forsha. Their 40th wedding anniversary would have occurred today. The family has always resided in this section. Mrs. Forsha was a member of the Presbyterian church. Six children were born to the union, five of whom survive: Chalmers R., of Latrobe; Mrs. R.K. Richardson, Lawrence E. and Lulu, of Derry, and Mrs. Gilbert Wadsworth, of Johnstown. Ten grandchildren survive. The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Jacob Igo, of Latrobe; Harvey Byers, of Bradenville; Albert Byers, of Johnstown and George Byers, of Elmadale, Derry. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 from her late residence on Second Street, with her pastor, Rev. A.F. von Tobel, in charge. Interment will follow in Cole's cemetery.
