He was born in Derry May 21, 1899, a son of the late William Clark and Minnie Gertrude Baer Foster. He was with the National Biscuit Company for a number of years before entering the restaurant business. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Painter Foster; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Grote, of Latrobe; one son, George T. Foster, at home; one sister, Mrs. Lawrence E. Forsha. Mr. Foster was a member of the Derry Lutheran Church and of the following organizations: F. & A. M., Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Coudersport Consistory, the Shrine, B.P.O.E., the F.O.E., and the Derry Volunteer Fire Company. Friends are being received at the Hughes Funeral Home on Third Ave., Derry, where services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of his pastor, Rev. George D. Wolfe. Interment will be made in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
