Foster, Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth "Kay" Foster, 81 of Latrobe went to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ, Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of the late Martin Lawrence Ryder and the late Anna B. Atkinson Ryder Jones. Mrs. Foster was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and home-maker all of her life. She enjoyed life tremendously and lived each day to the fullest, enriching the lives of those who knew her. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62-1/2 years, John A. Foster, Nov. 16, 1997; infant grandchildren, Matthew Christopher Grejtak Jr. and Bonnie Lee Grejtak, and three brothers, John, Francis and Thomas Ryder. She was the loving mother of five children, Joan Dorothy Foster of Latrobe, Rose Marie Foster of West Palm Beach, Fla., Donna Kay Kowalsky (and her husband, Richard) of Youngstown, John Martin Foster and Cathy Ann Foster, both of Latrobe. She was the loving grandmother of four grandchildren, Dianne Marie of San Antonio, Texas, Timothy Robert and Paul Stephen, both of West Palm Beach, and David John Grejtak (and his wife, Maria) of San Antonio. She also was the loving great-grandmother of three great- grandchildren, Jacob Matthew Sanchez, Thomas Clayton Grejtak and John Paul Grejtak, all of San Antonio. She also is survived by a sister-in-law, Frances Ryder of Latrobe, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Church, Latrobe. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Town-ship.
