Pleasant. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, and Pleasant Unity Local 5758, United Mine Workers of America. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alice R. Friedline, and the following children: Edward F., Latrobe R. D. 1; Mrs. Martha Schachte, Southwest; Mrs. Katherine Haney, Southwest; Harry Jr, Pleasant Unity; and Theda,Southwest. Also surviving are a step-daughter, Doris M. Byers, at home; a brother, Garland, Derry; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Shaffer, Johnstown; Mrs. Lottie Gaskin, Ligonier; and Mrs. Ruth Palmer, Hostetter; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the James P. Gaut Funeral Home in Pleasant Unity from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. daily. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in St. James Lutheran Church, Youngstown, with Rev. Bruce R. Shaffer, D. D., pastor, officiating. The body will lie in state from 1 p.m. until time of services. Interment follows in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, near Mt. Pleasant.
