Mrs. Rose Marie Schick Fritz, 89, of Latrobe RD 1 (Lycippus) died Thursday, May
31, 1990, at her home. She was born Aug. 23, 1900, in Mount Pleasant Township, a
daughter of the late Joseph J. and Catherine Zellers Schick. She was a member of
St. Vincent Basilica, Unity Township. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her husband, Walter B., in 1987; a brother, John L. Schick, and
three sisters, Elizabeth Schick, Mary Shirk and Josephine Lowther. Surviving are
two daughters, Josephine K. Dunlap of Youngstown and Mrs. James (Sedella )
Goughler of Pittsburgh; four sons, Raymond F. of Lawson Heights, Unity Township,
Walter R. of Berwyn, Ill., Melvin L. of Whitney and Wendel E. of Bel Air, Md.;
26 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to
9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in James P. Gaut Funeral Home
Inc., Pleasant Unity. Funeral mass will be celebrated at noon Monday in St.
Vincent Basilica. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park,
Hempfield Township. Wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral
home.
