Mrs. Alice V. Dunn Frund, 83, of Greensburg (formerly of Norvelt) died Monday,
Nov. 1, 1993, in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. She was born June 2,
1910, in Calumet, a daughter of the late Wesley S. and Margaret (Horner) Dunn.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Trauger and the
Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and a former member of the Naomi
Circle of the church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three
sons, Cameron, Barry and Larry Frund; a daughter, Janice Frund; three brothers,
Harry, William and Charles Dunn, and a sister, Ruth Gray. Surviving are her
husband of 65 years, Joseph C. Frund; a son, Zane N. of Greensburg; a daughter,
Mrs. Charles (Gloria) Shafer of Mount Pleasant RD 2; two brothers, Thomas A. of
Norvelt and Stanley W. Dunn of Barnesboro; four sisters, Mrs. Mark (Hazel)
Wilson of Norvelt, Mrs. Owen (Bessie) Barnett of Norvelt, Mrs. Norman (Margaret)
Breth of Knoxville, Ohio, and Mrs. Joseph (Betty) Beacon of Johnstown; five
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Gaut-Bacha
Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday
in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trauger, with the Rev. Eric M. Riesen,
pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran
Church Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township.
