Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) · 2 Jan 1947, Thu 
Mrs. Mary E. Frye, widow of the late Samuel R. Frye, of 345 
Depot St., Latrobe, died in Latrobe Hospital at 10:55 pm 
Thursday after  a month's illness. She was 74 years of age. 
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Edna 
Phillips and Mrs. Marie Bitner of Latrobe; Mrs. Erma 
Richards and Mrs. Esther Parkinson of Pittsburgh; Roy A. 
Frye of Johnstown, and Raymond E. Frye of Palmerton. Also 
surviving are ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren 
and two brothers, Edward and Thomas B. Derby, both of 
Greensburg. Mrs. Frye was a lifelong resident of the Latrobe 
district and was a member of the Christ Reformed church. 
Friends will be received at the Hartman Funeral Home where 
funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 
o'clock in charge of her pastor, the Rev. Harvey W. Black. 
Interment will take place in Unity Cemetery.
