Lemon H Frye, 77. of Waterford, Ligonier Township, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 1983, in
Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born June 13, 1906, in Waterford, the son of the late
Charles and Ella Weimer Frye. Before his retirement, he was an employee of
Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh plant. He was a member of the Waterford Christian
Church, a member of Ligonier Township Sportsman's Club, and had been a member of the
Conservation Corps Camp during the 1930s. He was preceded in death by one sister. He
is survived by his wife, Dorothy Boyd Derk Frye; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Dolores)
Forsha of Ligonier RD 2; two stepsons, James R. and Ronald L. Derk of Waterford;
three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and two
step-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Bell and East Church streets,
Ligonier. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Waterford Christian Church
with the Rev. Sherrill J. Fritts officiating. Interment will be in Green Mountain
Cemetery.
