Evelyn Selesky Gardner, 90, of Cook Township passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012,
in the Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township. She was born May 20, 1921, in Unity
Township, a daughter of the late Leo and Goldie (Piper) Selesky. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Gardner, and a
grandson, Brent Baum. Evelyn is survived by her three children, Sylvia Nelson of
Oregon, Zane Baum and his wife, Joan, of Cook Township and Gary Baum and his
wife, Cher, of Tennessee; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Leo Selesky and his wife, Nancy, of Latrobe and Frank Selesky and his
wife, Ginnie, of Greensburg; two sisters, Violet McIlnay of Latrobe and Betty
Onusko and her husband, George, of Hostetter, and numerous nieces and nephews. A
private graveside service will be held in St. James Evangelical Lutheran
Cemetery, Unity Township. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Ligonier, is in charge of
arrangements.
