Latrobe Bulletin Mon, Jul 11, 1955
William A. Garris, 77, died at his home in Luxor, Saturday, 8:15. His wife, Mrs.
Emma Garris died April 3 of this year. Survivors include eight children: Mrs.
Anna Beacon, Luxor; Mrs. Margaret Anderson, Mather; Mrs. Gertrude Alexander,
Latrobe R. D. 1; John, Luxor; Mrs. Edna Tuckey, Longview, Wash; David R.,
Greensburg; Mrs. Emma Myers, Luxor; Joseph W., Bovard; 44 grandchildren: 38
grandchildren(?); one sister, Mrs. Cora Tyson, Derry. Friends are being received
at house 43, Luxor. Services will be held 2:30 p. m. Wednesday, with Rev. James
V. Fordyce officiating. Interment will follow in New Alexandria.
