The Ligonier Echo Wed, Mar 24, 1915 
John Gaskin, of Derry, formerly of Ligonier township and a native of
Northumberland county, who moved from DuBois to Ligonier valley about 21 years
ago, died Monday afternoon, March 22, of pneumonia, having been sick one week,
aged 64 years, 4 months and 21 days. Funeral will take place Thursday at 10:30
at residence of his son, V. V. Gaskin, Ligonier. A short service will be held
today at Derry after which the body will be brought to Ligonier. Interment in
Valley cemetery. Mr. Gaskin is survived by his widow and the following children,
V. V. Gaskin, of Ligonier, Floyd H. and Paul, of Derry, and by two brothers and
one sister of Milton, Pa.
