A sufferer, for years, from an ailment which followed from a serious attack of diphtheria. Mrs. George for four months past had been in a greatly depressed state, at intervals. For the past two weeks Mrs. M. B. Slater and Miss Dot George, of Scranton, had been spending much of their time with her, while here on a visit. Yesterday afternoon, Miss Dot was with her until after three o'clock, leaving her for a few minutes while she went to her brother Edward's home nearby. Mrs Slater went to the George home not ten minutes afterward, only to find her sister-in-law dead. She had used pistol, with which to end her life. Wounds were found in her right temple and in her left breast. She had never given any intimation of entertaining a thought of the kind. Mrs. George was 58 years of age. She was the eldest daughter of the late Justice Geiger, one of the pioneer residents of the town. She is survived by her husband, two brothers and three sisters. The funeral services which will be conducted by the Rev. George C.
