He was born in Latrobe on Jan. 25, 1892, and lived to Derry for many years while he served as a trainman on the Pittsburgh Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. He moved to Greensburg about 20 years ago, and was still in active service at the time of his death. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Bush Gibson; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Wolfe, Youngwood; a son, Wilbert L Gibson Jr., Cleveland. O.; a sister, Mrs. Marie Watt, Pittsburgh, and a brother, Robert Gibson, Latrobe R. D. 4. He was a brother-in-law of Homer G. Smith and Harry W. Kinkead. He was a member of the First Methodist church in Derry. His pastor, Rev. Ralph W. McKenzie, will have charge of funeral services to be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Barnhart Funal Home, East Pittsburgh St. and Tremont Ave. Interment will be made to the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
