Lawrence J. Goodman, 68, of Greensburg RD 3, died Tuesday morning in
Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 29, 1909, in Latrobe, a son
of the late David and Mae Marks Goodman. He was a former partner in the
Cloverleaf Golf Course, Delmont, and a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Delmont.
A veteran of World War II, he also was a member of various Masonic
organizations. Surviving are his widow, Margaret (Peg) Tahaney Goodman; one
daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lawrette) McCann of Stow, Ohio; one brother, Alfred E. of
Harrisburg; two sisters, Mrs. E. L. (Mabel) Darr and Mrs. Charles (Genevieve)
Stahl, both of Latrobe, and two grandchildren. Friends will be received in Salem
Lutheran Church, East Pittsburgh Street, Delmont, from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday.
Services will be held in the church at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. John W.
Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or
the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are being made by the Robert
J. Kepple Funeral Home, Greensburg.
