She was born Sept. 24, 1892, in Ligonier Township. She was a member of Pleasant Unity United Methodist Church and was a teacher of the Ladies Bible Class for 40 years. She taught school in Ligonier, Derry and Unity Townships, retiring in Unity Township in 1956. Preceded in death by her husband, Oliver, in 1965, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Grace) Guter of Latrobe; two sons, Oliver E., of Derry, and C. Dale, of RD 1, Latrobe; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emily Austraw of Wilkinsburg and three brothers: Jerry E. Edsall of McKeesport, Hugh R. Edsall of Pleasant Unity and George T. Edsall of Latrobe. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Pleasant Unity United Methodist Church, the Rev. Robert R. Slack and Rev. Alvin K. Smith, officiating. Interment followed in Unity Cemetery. The James P. Gaut Funeral Home, Pleasant Unity was in charge of funeral arrangements.
