Harry J. Graham, 65, of Latrobe, died Friday, Feb. 2, 1990, in Latrobe Area
Hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Latrobe, a son of Elmer E. and Leona
Mock Graham of Latrobe. Prior to his retirement in 1981 with 36 years tenure, he
was employed as a high school teacher with the Greater Latrobe School District.
He was a member of Latrobe, United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday
School teacher for 20 years and was a trustee and member of the administrative
board. He was president of the Latrobe Historical Society from 1982 to 1989. He
was a member of the Greater Latrobe School District Board of Education from 1983
to 1989, chairman of the Joint Operating Committee of the Eastern Westmoreland
Area Vocational-Technical School, Derry Township, and a member of the cultural
coalition for the Latrobe area. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a
sister, Mrs. Leona McGinnis of Ligonier; three nieces, and four aunts. Friends
will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in
Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Service will be held
at 11 a.m. Monday in Unity Chapel, Unity Township, with the Rev. Kenneth McGowan
officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Latrobe Area Hospital
Oncology Department, West Second Avenue, Latrobe, Pa., 15650.
