Donald G. Gratzinger, 69, of Mt. Pleasant RD3, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at his
residence. He was born April 14, 1936, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late George C.
and Ora Jeannette Stouffer Gratzinger. He was retired from the former Lenox Crystal,
Mt. Pleasant. He was a graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School, class of
1954. He was a member of the Alverton Church of God. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Shaw Gratzinger, in 1994; six brothers,
his twin, Ronald H. and George R., Edwin Ross, James H., William C. and Richard E.
Gratzinger; three sisters, Louise Lawrence, Carolyn Gratzinger and Margaret Mulertt.
He is survived by his fiancee, Carol Loucks, of Scottdale; two sons, Gregory D.
Gratzinger and his wife, Kelly, of Tampa, Fla., and Marc Allen Gratzinger and his
wife, Brandy, of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Amy Beth Gratzinger, of Bellevue; four
sisters, Ruth and husband, Stewart Hyde, of Palm Harbor, Fla., Helen and husband,
Edward Bedner, of Richmond, Ohio, Nancy and husband Ray Monticue, of Stahlstown, and
Betty and husband Paul Lenhart, of Latrobe. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. Thursday at the LUTHER J. GRIMM FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Pleasant, where services will
be at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Lee Kline officiating. Interment will be in
Alverton Cemetery, Alverton.
