Griffith, of McColly St., died in the Winber hospital on Saturday evening, September 24, 1927. She had undergone an operation for the removal of a goitre on Thursday and was getting along nicely until Friday evening when her condition became very serious, causing her death the following evening. She was aged 56 years and 25 days. She is survived by her husband, J. S. Griffith, and the following children: Mary Griffith a teacher in the Wilkinsburg schools; Mrs. L. W. Guild, of New Bedford, Mass; Sarah Jane Griffith, at home; Harry N. and John, both of Ligonier. She is also survived by four sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Hartman Kuhns of Ligonier; Mrs. Clark Arbaugh, of Lansing, Michigan; Agnes Kuhns and Lucinda Kuhns both of Oak Grove; John Kuhns of Ligonier; Robert Kuhns of Oak Grove; and Baker Kuhns of Ontario, Calif. Mrs. Griffith had been a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran church in Ligonier; was a member of the Eastern Star, Lady St. Clair Rebekah Lodge, the W. C. T. U. and the Lady's Missionary Society of the Lutheran Church. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at her late home on McColly street, in charge of her pastor, Rev. Theo. Buch. Interment was made in the Valley cemetery.
